How quickly can live in care be arranged?
We understand that care is often needed urgently. Once we have completed your free care assesment and identified the right carer for your needs, care can usually be arranged within 48 hours.
What training will my carer have?
At Oyster, we only recruit carers who share out values of compassion, respect and professionalism. Every aplicant completed a thorough recruitment process, including interviews, referal checks, and a full DBS check.
Sucessful candidates complete a comprehensive five day programme covering:

How much does live in care cost?
The cost of live in care depends on the level of support you need. An estimated cost can be provided after an initial discussion with our Client Services team, and a confirmed cost will follow your free home care assessment with the Care Manager.
We will also guide you on any funding options thaty may be avaliable for you.
What do i need to provide for my live in carer?
Your carer will need a spare bedroom for rest and privacy, with access to the internet so care records can be updated. Carers typically share meals with you, and they are entitled to a two hour break each day. Many families cover this time themselves, but we can also arrange additional support if required.
What happens when my carer has time off or a holiday?
Continuity of care is important. That is why we plan ahead and work with small teams of carers on a rota basis, usually two weeks on, two weeks off.
When your carer takes time off, we ensure a smooth handover to another trained Oyster carer. Out fully managed service means you will always have professional care in place, without disruption.
