As the  visionary founder of The Oyster Live in Care Company, I have dedicated my life to providing exceptional live-in care. With over 30 years of experience in the care sector,  I have  spent more than 15 of those years specialising in live-in care, ensuring that individuals receive the highest quality of support in the comfort of their own homes. 

My unwavering commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. I have won numerous awards throughout my career, including the prestigious Manager of the Year award in 2020. My expertise and contributions to the industry were further recognised in 2024 when i was featured in Homecare Insight magazine, a testament to my influence and leadership in the care sector. ​​

My approach to care is rooted in three key principles: empathy, patience, and creativity. I believe these qualities are essential in delivering exceptional care that benefits not just the individual receiving support, but also their families and the carers themselves.

These three things are so important in providing good care, which benefits not only the person but also their families and the carer themselves. Everyone needs to feel comfortable and confident to provide care as well as in the care they are receiving. We want both carers and clients to feel safe, happy and empowered, so we are always thinking of ways in which to ensure this is happening – and know this is different for everyone.

My ability to balance my dedication to care with my personal well-being is a true reflection of my leadership and deep understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance in such a demanding profession.

I frequently meet individuals who are hesitant about receiving care, and I understand that building trust takes time. With patience and compassion, I gently introduces the idea of live-in care, ensuring that each person feels heard and understood before recommending the right carer for them.

I also recognise that family members can be just as anxious about the decision. With consent, i will take the time to involve them, providing reassurance and guidance throughout the process.
